What an easy and inexpensive way to celebrate the Christmas season. Our Snowball Party Guide is full of ideas for recycling or very cheap items to create all your party activities. Topping the festivities off with a Snowman Cake and Hot Cocoa.

Activity:Make a Snowball:

You will need:

___ cotton balls, batting or something similar

___ tissue paper

___ string (kite string or thread will work)

___ scissors

To Make:

Wrap up cotton balls or batting in tissue paper and tie the top with string. When done set them aside.

Now that you have snowballs what do you do with them? Here are some activities:

Game: Snowball Hunt:

You will need:

___ For each child you will need 3 different sizes of snowballs (see above project)

Example: if you have 8 children at your party you will need 8 small snowballs, 8 medium snowballs, and 8 large snowballs.

How to Play:

Hide one of each size for each child. Children go on a snowball hunt and find one of each size. The first child to find his or her 3 snowballs wins. Children need to keep their snowballs for the next activity.

Craft:Build a Snowman:

___ 3 snowballs from previous activity

___ glue

___ felt, buttons, glitter, anything to decorate snowman with

Glue the 3 snowballs together small on top, medium one in middle, and large one on the bottom to create a snowman. For faster drying and easier for children to decorate use hot glue. Hot glue should be used under adult supervision. If you want to allow for drying time, go ahead with our next activity. Then come back to complete your snowman. Have children use your felt, buttons, glitter, etc to decorate their snowman. Have a contest for the most colorful, most unique, most creative, most like Frosty, etc.
